Webhooks

Astra uses webhooks to send programmatic updates about your user's automations. Webhooks can be enabled via the main Astra Dashboard page under the Webhooks section in sandbox or production.

The webhook URL must be https and have valid SSL certificate. If there is a non-200 response or no response, Astra will retry sending the webhook.

📘

Astra will retry sending a webhook up to 10 times. Each webhook request has a max timeout of 10 seconds. After each failure, the time between retries doubles resulting in a 5-hour retry window. Each subsequent retry will contain the same webhook_id as the initial webhook that received a non-200 response.

🚧

Webhook delivery is best-effort with eventually consistency, meaning that you may receive an _updated webhook before you receive the related _created webhook. Events may arrive out of order or be delivered more than once, consumers should be idempotent and use object-level timestamps to reconcile state.
